9. Trouble Finding Words
When speaking, people with Alzheimer’s may suddenly stop in mid-sentence as they struggle to find words or forget what word they were trying to say. They sometimes use other words that have similar meanings or sentence fragments instead of whole sentences. For example, a person might say “What … I … do?” instead of the intended word, “Why did you do that?”
